Taman Pudu Ulu parkrun Event #78 Report

Taman Pudu Ulu parkrun held its final event of 2019 on 28th December.  We welcomed five first time parkrunners, two visitors from Presint 18 and 14 overseas visitors – seven each from Australia and UK, as well as our regulars, for a total of 74 participants.  Conditions were a little cooler than in recent weeks, though humidity was high and we were back on our “regular” new three-lap course.

We celebrated three milestone achievements; Mr Y.C. Yap who has been one of our most regular participants since Event #1 reached his 50th parkrun  milestone, whilst juniors Seng Wei Yip and Seng Wei Hong both achieved their 10th parkrun milestone – well done to you all!

First finisher was Gary Staples, visiting from UK in a time of 21:16, followed by Seng Wei Yip in 21:43 and Jake Loosemore in 22:10.  First lady finisher was Julie Foreman in 22:35, who was also our highest age graded-finisher, followed by Aisling Murray in a new PB of 23:27 and Ashley Chee in 24:08.  There were also PB’s for Moe Ali, Gary Rothwell, Nik Suhaimi Nik Abdul Kadir, Adam Kamaruddin, Hairul Azha Mohd Amin and Pik Yoke Fung – great effort everyone!

As always, our event relied on our team of volunteers – a big thank you to: Emer BREEN, Pei Yong GAN, Chin Chye GUAY, Wan MAY LOKE, Wan MEI LING, Caroline MURRAY, Colin MURRAY, Lor Che TAN, Fion THEIN, Soo Sim Stephanie TO
